You want to know who lived on Tuolumne St.? Up the road from the phone booth (.7 of a mile)….the house had a garage and a basement. A Nickolatos…Dan Nickolatos. Andy Jr. of course, was the one who was pulled over after the BRS attack. (A) Dan Nickolatos graduated from VHS in 1964.

Small town and one could probably find a lot of familiar names near that booth—just thought this one was interesting. It sure caught my eye.

Maybe someone heard Andy was being arrested and made the phone call to try and get him released. ?? :| :)

So close to ALA at 32 Fresno also. Looks to be about a half a mile northwest.

So, the brothers Nickolatos owned and ran the Black and White liquor store in Benicia. Has this all been covered? I can’t find it in search here, but I might be remembering something I read… Just wondering if Andy’s arrest at the time amounted to anything further.

Well Dan’s name fits the Z13 albeit anagrammed. I know how everyone likes that. Thing I thought, after counting the characters, was the characters looked interesting and they do account for the doubles and one of the singles. Probably just Zync-worthy but hey, keeps me out of trouble lol.

I don’t know Chief, he’s very smart or very dumb.

Over at Z killer .com we talked about Andy Nickolatos Jr and his girlfriend Betty, here is what my buddy Auth found .

Andy was the son of a local Vallejo grocer. (the family must have been doing good business since their son was driving a Cadillac)
He was too young to be the Zodiac – probably went to BRS to neck with his girl friend and decided to leave when he saw Mike bleeding on the ground. A bad case of ‘being at the wrong place at the wrong time’.

AuthUser

I found an Obit. for the youngest brother of three, Greg born Nov 19th 1964, said that he was raised in Benicia ?

From 2010:

"Andrew Nickolatos, 60, of Vallejo, was arrested on two outstanding felony warrants from Mendocino County."

Dan went on to become a school teacher in WA state at a 7th day adventists school I think

I know the parents owned and operated the liquor stores. Lot of Nickolatos’.

I find the houses with basements interesting–as I mentioned Dan’s had one. It’s not a real popular thing in the bay area, but they do exist. The assessors office can help with that info:

Helpful tool. I tried it with James Owen, and it showed, FINISHED BASEMENT-0, so I wonder if it is considering unfinished basements, or only noting finished ones?
