You’d be surprised, Smithy. Being shot through the heart doesn’t bring about death as instantaneous as that which occurs when you’re shot through the brain. It can take anywhere between thirty seconds and a minute sometimes, and plenty of death throes can happen during that final minute.

I saw a deer run over 200 yds. after I shot it through the heart. If you’re against hunting, I’m sorry, but it was an evil deer.

Betty Lou got shot, the car with the shooter in left, the first witness arrived, saw Betty Lou on her right side facing the road(!?), then she left, at which time Betty Lou then rolled over onto her face? Well…..

(You’ve seen this photo? It’s not pleasant, but it’s on the web, so…..).

That’s still not the point though, nope. The point is that the writer knew the police report contradicted the newspaper information. Ta-da.

I still think she could have simply been more on her right side. Her leg could have already been somewhat extended while on her right side and it appears her right arm is under her body.

I guess (even though I’m one who isn’t 100% confident Zodiac was responsible for the LHR murders) I don’t see it impossible that the letter writer (Zodiac) was there and saw Betty how she was when she first fell.

On a side note–the photo of her covered in the blanket appears to show her legs side-by-side. She was obviously moved a bit at some point.

I suggested a reasonable hypothesis on the page 6 as to how her position came about referencing the autopsy photo.

But no matter because when I wrote that I was looking at the photo’s that Smithy has just posted and I started to wonder. How do we know she is face down? I can’t see her face and I can’t tell if her head is turned or not.

It was Bambi’s dad. He was horny, but I wasn’t in the mood. I shot him about 75 yds out with my 25.06, which a lot of times goes clean through at that distance. Then he took off in a full sprint. I was shocked because I thought I’d missed, but Buckwheat (unlike Zodiac) doesn’t miss. Like I said, he made it about 200 yds before falling. Surprised me that he did what he did, but he did.

Trav, I’m sorry to keep going on about it, but the point is that even if he was there (he wasn’t) and did see her (he didn’t) and she did (post mortem) fall on her face and stick her leg out, (she didn’t) the writer knew that the police report(s) proved his point. Yep? That’s the important thing.

It’s a dreadful photograph that, not easily forgotten I find. Not a good one, though, since it’s a double exposure (it seems) and you can’t see her left arm clearly either.

This may help, the sketch is Stella Borge’s view when she found the bodies,Betty was on her side. The report,althoug hard to read,shows that Officer pitta arrived at the scene and found Betty face down.

Either I’ve completely lost my mind or there is a problem with the conclusions being put forth in this discussion. I do not see the connection between the letter writing stating what he did and a conspiracy. Are we saying that since Borges said she saw BLJ on her side and the police saw her face down, that somebody repositioned her body and then used Borges to confirm what he had done?

Even if that is true, how does that prove a conspiracy between multiple people? Couldn’t one Zodiac have done the same thing? I do not get it.

In this case, I guess Z walked to the crime scene? Or did he have to drive back after Borges left from some clandestine location? Getting complicated, right?
