What are the odds that Zodiac was a very rich man who comes from a wealthy and respected San Francisco family?

The reason I am asking is because there is a man who I have done a little bit of research on and he had some interests that could be considered to be things that Z would have been into. I ran across his name in an FBI document while researching another person, and his address stuck out to me (corner of Washington & Cherry, but this was 1966). I don’t know a whole lot about this man so far, but things that I read about him and his family months ago did grab my attention somewhat. I did a little digging into the guy and determined that I should keep looking into him but hadn’t got around to it yet. As far as physical appearance, he was kind of tall and stocky (6’2" 200 lbs.) but in great shape and was known to be quite athletic. I have only seen two photos of him, and both were when he was an old man. May have a possible resemblance to the Stine sketch, but it’s hard to say. The other things I know about this man I will save for later and continue on with the research. The only problem I have with him as a POI thus far is his age (born 1914), but he does have three sons and at least one of them (that I know of) has a lot of common interests.

So lets just pretend I did not even mention a POI and just focus on the question… do you think it is possible that Z was well known in the bay area and came from a wealthy and influential family? If so, do you think that he could have had police protection? Or maybe someone from the police force could have even found out his identity and was too afraid to do anything about it.
