TRAV,anyway to enhance this? Trying to read some of the words & phrases

Nothing much really. There’s not much information in the files to work with. All I’ve done here is create multiple layers it beefs up what is there. Might help. Made it a little bigger as well and created a reversed version (not sure it helps but might make it easier for some to read).

I was hoping we could see some clues in the words or phrases the were included. Off the bat, TRAIN jumps out. Also, the CHARIOTT. The FBI thought that it might be a clue as in CHARIOT. I have a better theory, in Napa, there was a man named HARRY OTT who died in 1974. Another guy by the same name died in 1990(his son?) They have a relative who’s in his 70’s who has worked for the post office, and lived in and around Napa, Fairfield,etc…he looks similar to the overall Z description. I never really looked closer at him,and I cant remember how I even found him, but if that CHARIOTT as included in the letter was a clue, maybe it was C HARRY OTT(See Harry Ott)

Other words that I can make out are: dangerous ride, warring love emotions, hangups, three of a kind.

The Leo card could be a threat to Leo , Darlene’s father or brother’s name.
Darlene’s mother received threats towards her other children. Many times at night when Leo her husband would leave for work, she would get calls from someone saying he was Zodiac. These calls were as if she was being watched.
Or the card could be a threat to someone born under that sign ? Leo’s have the size ego that we know Zodiac has. I can say that because I was born under that sign LOL.

Ok…so I have been doing some deep research on these and while I haven’t got a picture of where they came from, the "A Thrilling Phenomenon" line comes from an ad from a French company called Magnetal from France. It was an ad placed in a 1969 issue of Gold Seal Cross Words for a magnetic healing cross called a "Biomagnetic Cross or Cross of Happiness". I have a feeling the cross on the page is an image of this "Biomagnetic Cross" referred to in the article I read on it.

And the Ember’s Lucky came from a North Carolina based band called the Embers. They were a beach band that started in 1958 and had an album called "The Ember’s Lucky Thirteen".

I am still searching for some of the others but my brain is shot right now…..been sick for a few days.

Does anyone have the date when this paste letter was sent?

Nice find. There was also a club in Hayward named Lucky 13 club ( I forgot about that) In fact one of my boyfriends ended up owning it.

For those of you who are doubters and want to check, his name was John Wayne Moore.

I am very sure that when ever Zodiac would send notes/ letters ,he enjoyed the game of seeing if anyone could figure out his obscure clues. There has to be a message there to be found, keep up the good work !

Soze here is the FBI memo that goes with the Bleeding Knife, Cancer and Leo letters. It looks like the envelope for each letter is described just before each letter. So the Leo letter would have been postmarked Dec. 11, 1969.

Two cut and paste letters with similarities , very obscure but potentially relevant .. "Three of a kind" and "Train" In the above cut n paste. The Tim Miller letter referenced "four can be five or six" and "railway". Ce lo the die game has been mentioned before in regards the Tim miller letter. "Trips" or three of a kind is known as instant kill
And both letters have a cross of some description. as does the pines card.
Also If your a crazy murderer who has a cut and paste fetish why use train as a word. Me thinks it’s Very random to have trains referenced in both.
I know it’s left field And hard to follow but it just seems very odd to me

Hi soze I was just tying these two cut n paste letters together, they have similarities and words that make me think what the. Would love to see better copies of them both.

Also the triple six is on another letter. Maybe it was a copy cat letter, I will take a look for it.

Ahh yes Eddie seda the New York copy cat had a letter with three sixes.
