I hate vague comments like that.

I just read something last night from (one of many) handwriting analysists (who thinks they are the greatest thing since sliced bread) who says they solved the Zodiac killer case with handwriting….he apparently had a suspect who matched the writing. This was a few years ago. Have they solved the case?

Waiting….but not anxiously.

I got this from the zodiac revisited forum. It specifically mentions this going to Morf13
but thought I would post it here. Any comments on this.

Too all, Many have wondered what happened to me, but I (and my work) have not disappeared. Before you push the delete button Morf, keep in mind that I have picked you. I would recommend more attention to the actual physical evidence of the Cheri Jo Bates case including the letters. The greatest obstruction to the solving of this case has been removed and it will be solved. There is very exciting developements in the case occurring now. The author of the confession letter has been established and there is a new suspect. Probable cause for further investigation has been established. The ball is in your court Morf. Pardon for saying but it sounds like BS. If LE is working on this, why should Morf have to do anything or be selected by this Dr. D’Antonio with a low 1 of 5 star rating on Healthgrades.com?

I agree Victor. It doesn’t make sense. This is apparently someone who Dr. D has come across and I highly question this person being a suspect in the RPD’s eyes. I’d love to be proven wrong though.

I’m thinking that the reason Dr. D asked Morf not to hit the delete button is because he thinks that Zodiac Revisited is Morf’s site. Both this site and Zodiac Revisited are run by guy’s named Mike but not the same Mike.

So much for Dr. D’s powers of deduction!

Dr. D is a….character…. that popped up and got swatted down on Tom’s and I think also on Mike B’s. Anyone remember him?

D’Antonio said that he first came up with this discovery after watching the movie ZODIAC and staying awake for three days in a row. D’Antonio then posted his sensational claims on various Internet message boards. He claimed to be “working with” the SFPD and the FBI, and claimed that his “evidence” proved Allen’s guilt despite the overwhelming evidence of his innocence. D’Antonio repeatedly announced that he had discovered even more damning evidence against Allen and he repeatedly claimed that authorities were close to closing the case. However, as time passed, authorities dismissed D’Antonio’s claims and evidence. D’Antonio later ended his public campaign and his days as an amateur crime-fighter.

D’Antonio’s press releases stated that he was represented by Larry Garrison, the public relations man behind the next Zodiac publicity stunt. Garrison also represented a San Francisco real estate agent named Deborah Perez…

I remember Dr. D quite well. His "new technique" basically involved viewing Zodiac letters on a flat panel computer monitor, taking photos of said monitor with a digital camera, and then finding hidden Zodiac ‘artwork’ or faces in those photos.

And if that was not enough, he was not even using RAW mode on the camera, he was using JPEG (lossy) mode. I tried to tell him years ago that it is just macroblocking and paredolia that he was seeing, but he would have none of that.

Sigh.

WOW,that’s a name I havent heard in a while. DRD. He was the guy that swore he found faces embedded in the various zodiac letters,and used to do closeup enhancements. He supposedly gave this to SFPD,and that the case was about to be closed (this was at least 3 years ago,still open). I really would not put much stock into what he writes

I don’t want to repeat the things he was saying about my research but he was crammed full to the brim of you-know-what. Ugh! Have to take a shower now just seeing that name again. There are not many people I’d address with a string of expletives but he is one of them.

I hope that while watching New Jack City this evening, starring the one and only Judd Nelson, I don’t hear "And we interrupt this broadcast to bring you a Live Press Conference held by SFPD to announce they have identified a suspect in a very well known cold case…."

I can just see it now, cut’s to live media conference and left to right: Mr Donald Fouke, Ph.D (Presidio Heights District – Lol). Mr Edward Rust. Mr Robert Graysmith (Author of many great works of Fiction) And speaking to make the official announcement, Mr David ‘You can call me Harry, Dirty Harry’ Toschi.

At this point I am itching to add another character to the lineup and suggest he can be heard shouting ‘GAIK GAIK! LIARSSSS!’ from the back of the room while being forcibly removed from the crowd but I better not add the name aswel cause I have been issued one Warning by the online forum Police.

I don’t think it’s a matter of "policing" Chappie…we just want to TRY and hold to a bit of a higher standard here.
