Yes – that.

Not a very apt analogy, apparently. But it was an honest attempt, you know.

I thought it was great, to be honest. And funny.

How can we assume that Patricia Hautz had nothing to do with Z? Especially until she hasn’t been interviewed regareding the circumstances she had written this particular letter?

Oh ok, I forgot..just because she wrote about a killer, with two different handwriting on the envelope, doesn’t mean that she is related to the case. Well I guess this was why we had wondered for years about her identity..

So better to just let her go instead of interviewing her half an hour. Got it, I see.. :?:

She was interviewed.

Could be she just addressed the Editor part in different form as shown, or someone else opened it (which is often protocol) and saw it was a letter to the editor and they addressed it that way and gave it to the appropriate person, but it appears to be the same writing utensil.

Well, my friend – go for it.

Send her an email and ask for an interview, see what she has to say.

I’m still not clear on what exactly it is you want to ask her.

Sort of assisting that policeman by entering the topic but my question would be . Did You have a brother with a first name initial of r or a relative or freind with the initials rh.

That police/cow photo is both disturbing and funny at the same time :o

I think you might be finding Patricia Hautz that passed away in the 1940s in Pennsylvania that had a brother Richard and father Richard. Not sure if Mary Patricia Hautz from Riverside had a brother named Richard.

I know morf loves newspapers.com, so he may well have posted this already. But in case he (or anyone else) has not:

January 29, 1969
The San Bernardino County Sun from San Bernardino, California · Page 15

"Miss Mary Patricia Hautz became the bride of Melvin A. Chadwick at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Adelaide’s Catholic Church. Honor attendants for the couple were Miss Linda Bates and James Squires. Bridesmaids for Miss Hautz were Misses Tink Hautz and Delia M. Hautz. The guest book was circulated by Mrs.Cheryl Houghton. W. C. Hautz and Robert Helper shared ushering duties. The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William C. Hautz, 1846 Dale Lane, San Bernardino, graduated from Pacific High School, attended the University of California at Riverside and is now employed at St. Bernardine’s Hospital while attending San Bernardino Valley College. The bridegroom graduated from Fontana High School, served in Germany with the U.S. Army, attended Chaffey Junior College and is now employed by TRW Systems. The son of Mrs. Grace Chadwick, 801 1 Encinitas, Fontana, he will begin classes at SBVC next month. The newlyweds will reside at 4046 3rd Ave., San Bernardino."

Linda Bates? Is that a relative of Cheri Jo? Linda L. Bates was a classmate of Hautz, 1966 graduating class at Pacific H.S. The two were probably friends since Linda was at her wedding.

I think that policeman beating the cow is taken from the movie Me, Myself & Irene?

A few minutes ago on a toilet not very far, far away….

PH penned her idiology…there is nothing in her letter that shows any care or remorse for CJB…she cannot reason why the suspect committed the homicide so she blamed societal influences the poor suspect must have endured growing-up as the reason he/she felt the need to commit the homicide..PH’s belief is still running rampant in society today.. yea i would as well spend an hour with her in the interview room to learn if she had known CJB or had any names that may have been of interest…more than likely she is useless as a resource in solving this case..

Ooh – now that is a promising explanation about why the writing on the envelope looks so different. If that’s the case, then PH’s letter isn’t all that unusual or mysterious.

Did you read the rest of the thread, or just that post?

But I’m glad this thread got bumped, I needed a laugh.
