Hi guys, long time reader but I am new to the forum.

I write for a site in San Francisco called ratter.com where we’re going to have a weekly column about the Zodiac.

Here are my first two posts:

http://ratter.com/meet-the-poor-detecti … 1679508118
http://ratter.com/debunking-debating-th … 1681066868

Anyway, I grew up in Benicia. Regularly drove by the Lake Herman Road scene and went to a few birthday parties at Blue Rock Springs Park. The mother of my high school history teacher was actually the 911 dispatcher that took the call in the Springs killing.

I’ll be on the forums, but will probably read more here than I will write. If you’ve got something you think will make good column, let me know: will@ratter.com or on Twitter @WillKane

Keep it up!
Thanks,

Will

Hi Will–

Thanks for posting and sharing.

Curious as to why you didn’t mention Lake Berryessa in your second link.

Welcome aboard!

Hi Tahoe! I didn’t mention that because my understanding of the radian theory is that Berryessa didn’t play a roll? At least that’s what I got from my reading of the theory. But I am new at this and maybe I missed something.

Yeah, LB is not mentioned much when talking about the radian theory.

Hi Will and welcome to the board.

I note you often travelled LHR back in the day…a question if you would please. Can you comment on Reservoir Road please vis a vie, if it was used as a short cut between Vallejo and Benicia industrial estate back then?, if it was well know/travelled ? Would it be used/known by locals only or a genuine alternative route anyone would travel?

Thanks if you can

That is interesting. Thank you for your reply. :)

I’m glad this case is getting mainstream media attention and that you are reporting good information about the case.

But lately there have been members who refer to the amature investigators on these forums as "Zodiac Fans" or in your case "Zodiac Lovers."

No one here should "love" a sick serial killer that murdered at least 5 people. That is not what this is about.

Glad to see some attention, any attention on the case is good. I think some people think we are an ‘odd’ bunch of people, huddled here talking about the case. Truth is, at least for me, if my Family Member was killed, I would never give up wanting to see their case solved and their killer identified. The people Zodiac killed were young with their entire loves ahead of them, and they didn’t deserve to be killed. That’s motive to keep searching for answers. The fact this is one of America’s biggest unsolved Mysteries just makes it more compelling to work on. I hope the case is solved some day, then we can all take a vacation,I know I will.

That is why I like it here and know you just want this case solved and I feel the same.

I have to admit that whenever I see "Zodiac Fans" or "Zodiac Lovers," etc. it pisses me off as well. I don’t even have a POI and never have, and find my main interest in the unsolved ciphers. But the entire "Zodiac Myth" is America’s "Jack the Ripper," and it is unsolved and interesting in and of itself.

Of course, the author was speaking primarily of Tom Voigt’s board which, at this point, may not consist of the most rational and logically minded researchers.
