KQ from the February 25th, 1970 edition of the S.F. Examiner. Most of the "glasses" photos (that I’ve seen) are from the early-to-mid 1960s.

KQ wore glasses throughout the 1960s. Lindsey met him later, after he had changed his look to be more "1970s". KQ then had longer hair, sideburns and no glasses. That is why Lindsey never made the connection between the man who killed Stine and KQ: he had never seen KQ wearing glasses before! Once Jim told him that KQ did wear glasses in the 1960s in their initial conversation (right in front of KQ’s house!) in September 2003, Lindsey’s entire demeanor changed, he got very scared and started muttering to himself.

When people say "Lindsey knew KQ before the Z crimes," that is mythology, or a glib way to discredit and marginalize me, according to Lindsey himself.

My recollection is that I simply could not locate a photo of KQ that was definitely from this era. Lots of pictures of him out and about until the late ’60s, then just horse racing articles…

Is there a larger point you are trying to make by saying that you cannot find a photo of KQ from late 1969 wearing glasses?
