What’s the current status of DNA evidence from the Zodiac UNSUB?

And if any, has it been tested against direct or familial DNA from ALA and GK (and/or others)?

Thanks! As always ;)

It’s been run against four suspects that I know of: ‘Sam’, Allen, Mr. X and a guy called Collins. No matches for them all, obviously.

Don Cheney (ALA’s friend) too.

I never did trust that guy.

Wasn’t aware Mr. X was tested. Interesting…

COLLINS?? WHere did you hear/read that?? There’s a guy by that name from Riverside in Napa’s list of suspects,I am curious if it’s him.

I got that off the 2002 ABC feature, Morf. The guy’s name was Charles Clifton Collins. There wasn’t really much to justify his inclusion, barring handwriting similarities and his son’s suspicions. Doubt it’s the guy from Riverside; no-one had even heard of Collins before the son came forward that very year.

Okay,NOT the same guy,but there’s a good read about the Collins you are talking about-

http://books.google.com/books?id=DwNVbO … 22&f=false

The Collins I was talking about lived in Riverside, was in the Air Force, and was a hunter. I am not sure how or why he became a suspect, because every single shred of info we found on him placed him in Riverside, and NOT in the bay area, although I think there was a note to him being in the Modesto area, not really sure though

Thanks for all this.

So there is a viable/complete/robust piece of DNA evidence from Z (from licking a postage stamp)?

Based on the recent posts in this thread, can we assume Rick Marshall’s DNA was not tested against whatever sample LE is using as it base sample?

When in doubt, don’t.
