Location for this ambush furthers my belief that the perp had done some fishing and/or hunting in his life. (Hunting is prohibited on managed land but there are places in that region where hunting is permitted). The perp was certainly a loner type, so what use would he have for a beautiful public park? Certainly not to congregate happily with friends. More likely to fish, hunt and indulge his private fantasies by himself. He would also learn that a viable victim pool presents itself in the vastness of that park.

The lake attracted more than just hunters and fishermen. Aside from the music venue, the lake was also a tourist attraction for various reasons.
