I would assume – I know that’s a bad thing to do – that where the article says:

"… the naked man, who was six feet two inches tall and weighed 300 pounds"

That that means that that was the actual height and weight measurements taken by the police after his arrest.

Yes – that seems likely. The paper appears to have its info from the police – no witnesses are quoted. I guess the police would have either measured and weighed him (not sure if that was standard procedure) or perhaps obtained the info from his driver’s license.

A man of normal weight, even at 6′ 2", should weigh a bit less than 200 lbs. 300 is at the top of what this site considers "Obese."

Bigger than that — well, Google "Tor Johnson." He was 6′ 3" and weighed around 380-400. If Ross kept putting on weight as he got older, that might be what he looked like by the time he died.

I’m 5′ 8" and weighed about 135 lbs. in my 20s. I’m 160ish now and definitely need to lay off the tacos.

I am well overweight now and 6 ft tall, but have a large frame hands jawline etc. now I am fat, but when I was 265 I actually was not very fat, so Ross being 6ft2 and 300 lbs, he could have been a tank but not terribly fat

By the way, the reason his name isn’t mentioned is likely because he had to be admitted for mental evaluation

It still could be as simple as the man in the booth told the police he was attacked by a naked man weighing 300 pounds. Then that’s what made it in the report as well as the news story. Mug shots are taken next to a height measure, but never heard of the police putting someone on a scale.

Thank you and was going to mention about Allen and his height and weight that made me think he wasn’t Z. 6’2 and 300 lbs is a little over the top no pun intended. Unless Ross lost 50 lbs or more in a few months which is possible but highly unlikely this is pointing to him not being Z. Still you have the height issue at 6’2 which obvious one can’t change. Anyhow great suspect and still won’t rule him out and thanks to all on the research on him.

Well, judging by that shirtless pic, Ross was built like a tank, so it would be helpful to know what he weighed in high school.

My bad and this arrest is from Feb of 68 so Ross would have more then enough time to lose a lot of weight till Zodiac was first eyewitness. Still though the 6’2 height is hard to get over.
