PRO: Actually, his wrist would be that exact size:

Height and average wrist size

5’8" Tall
7 inches
5’10" Tall
7.1 inches
6′ Tall
7.27 inches
6’2" Tall
7.45 inches
6’4" Tall
7.62 inches

A 7-7.5 inch watch band will fit a 6-inch wrist but not anything much over that. In addition, I assume the measurements you gave are for average weight individuals with medium bone structure. By all accounts I’ve read here today, Ross Sullivan was well above average in size and build (bone structure).

When in doubt, don’t.

Pros:

* Bailey stated in her letter that Ross had grammar and spelling issues; her assertion is apparently true, since Ross misspelled "Seracuse" on his Social Security application. Zodiac also had similar spelling issues.

* Ross was into poetry; Zodiac also liked using poetry.

It would be nice to see more of Ross’s writing/ poetry, not just for the handwriting, but for the spelling.

Cons:

* Still no confirmation of Ross having a connection to Vallejo, or driving a car.

It would also be nice if Jon Sullivan would be willing to help find out one way or the other if Ross lived or worked anywhere else besides Santa Cruz. With that information, this conversation would probably either be over with, or just starting.

Pro: Ross drove a VW Bug. (probably knew the engine hood has no lock)

Pro: Ross had 2 wrists, and it is possible he could have put a watch on one of them.

Pro: Ross shares the odd spacing pattern of Z, seen near the end of this video:

Yes, no weight mentioned. If Ross was around 300 lbs in high school, I HIGHLY doubt that watch would fit him.

Not everyone believes Zodiac killed Cheri though, so don’t worry P.A…you can still defend Ross as a Zodiac suspect! :)

I actually think Ross Sullivan is a terrific Zodiac suspect.

When in doubt, don’t.

I think his friend Katz mentioned it.

Even if Ross did shed some weight by October 1969, you’re still talking about a pretty big guy. The man described by Fouke and Zelms seemed to be pretty average in size. I do think he’s a good candidate for Riverside but not convinced that was a Z murder. Ross also had a breakdown in a phonebooth and was doing menial work — I’m just wondering if he had the required level of intelligence, pre-planning, and resources to be Zodiac in his free time.

In a bubble the Fouke description might make it seem like the man at PH was average weight. But we know the man at PH was Z, and we have other Z descriptions that all point to him being heavy set, beefy, and overweight.

PRO: Allen said Ross was very smart. Could come up with and carry out a plan.

PRO: The librarian said Ross always wore a wool flannel shirt even on hot days. The man seen at the Lake, on a warm day, was wearing a wool flannel shirt.

I don’t mean to dismiss what "Allen" has to say, but we are talking about 50 year old memories from a kid he knew in high school. I’m not saying that any of us could not remember someone was smart, and if they were smart I would like to think they could carry out a plan of some sort, but I kind of find it a little odd…that and his remembering a poem Ross wrote; even if only a couple of lines. I think it is a valid concern. I am not saying he’s lying, I just find it a bit curious.

Zodiac was never described as overweight. People can certainly be wrong with their presumptions, but I don’t see how people wouldn’t have said "the guy was huge"!

Z was described as overweight by Cecelia Shepard

I admit Ross seems on the large side of Z descriptions, but look at the photo of Ross kneeling down. Even with people there for perspective I wouldn’t say he was huge. I would probably even guess he was well under 6′.

I’m not even going to click on that and guess that is the Officer Dave Collins. If so, my take on him is here:

"Barrel Chested" sounds like a bigger Guy. Also, Ken Narlow was confident, Zodiac was well over 200 pounds. Mageau described a Guy that was fat but not blubbery fat(which is the same thing Ross’s Friend told me of Ross). Hartnell felt that Z was fat and had a belly overhanging his belt. Seems like all around, Z was described in some fashion as being big.

Also about his intelligence, I think you are picturing an almost retarded guy here or something. He was very smart according to his Friend Allan. We are talking about a guy that worked in a Library, went to college, was an orrator, and involved in Drama in lead roles in school. He worked a menial Job, so what, a lot of people think Zodiac worked a menial job. Besides, he was a dishwasher in 1977, who knows what he was doing in 69.
