Well that is very interesting….even more so that it was sent on a postcard. Any chance that postcard can be found or is in evidence somewhere since it was a threat to a police officer?

"Curse of the seven crows" (or "7") is a rather obscure phrase. Google shows very few instances of its usage, with most of the hits being for this article.

Found this evil-minded person, with nickname DOGFACE186, using the exact same curse, and his suggestions of various methods of torture makes me think of the The "Little List" Letter:

I then googled his nickname and found one guy using that nickname who seem have the real name Al Brown. Not 100% sure that is the same person though:

He has a profile on a MINECRAFT site, a game that’s mostly popular with kids, which (along with the tone and spelling issues) makes me think he’s probably a teenager…and ardent teenage gamers tend to leave really, uh, "interesting" comments on Youtube, blogs, etc. Although I admit I’ve seen guys like that in their 20s and 30s.

Google shows exactly two other instances of this exact phrase being used in conversation, so it’s definitely not commonplace. If "Z" got it from the Brothers Grimm story, that fits disturbingly well with the Zodiac’s habit of pop culture-referencing…

The number 7 is the amount of Zodiac’s victims, counting Mike and Bryan who survived, but never the less were victims.
I seem to remember that zodiac’s 7th letter was 7pages long? (Not sure about that ,but please correct me if I am wrong ) LOL, I don’t know why I would have to ask that , there are people on all the Z sites who jump at the chance to prove someone wrong.

From what most people believe, Zodiac stopped after his 7th victim Paul Stine. So the number 7 has a meaning for Zodiac.
I would not discount that threat coming from someone signing his name Z, it was after all what he used in Riverside 1966. I think that was a great find Morf!

I would be looking for any serial killings in groups of 7.

I forgot to mention that I went to Riverside in 1990 ,looking to see if anyone with the name of my suspect RH ever lived there in 66. I did find someone with that name who lived in the Redlands in 66, he bought a mine in the Redlands. The recorders office has a lot of information when looking for suspects.

Wow. Interesting. Even more interesting is that this is down in Indio, not up in the Bay Area. Even more interesting, its in Riverside County.

The ‘Zorro???’ might come from the editor/employee, so they at that time already wondered about his id..
