Certainly entitled to your own opinion but where do you get Gary Gilmore from, relating to teh D&E murders?

Also certain that the whole thing was not a hoax. Probably goes without saying, but that theory has been put forward.

Yeah, they are what I feel very certain about. I could still be wrong, and wouldn’t mind someone convincing me I’m wrong. That’s the whole idea.

Morf is a great researcher. Welsh Chappie knows how to scrutinize every little detail of a police report. Traveller got a knack for handwriting analysis. What can I offer? I’m not an expert in ballistics or DNA but I think I’m good at being the impetus that gets balls rolling. That’s my intension here. Being right or wrong is irrelevant to me. I just want to make statements that pique something in others, which in turn can lead to a breakthrough.

I still stand by my certainties, but maybe m confidence will piss someone off enough to want to prove me wrong.

I hope no one has to get pissed off by your posts. Maybe finding information that will intrigue people is a better route to take.

In a case as confusing as this one, where almost no revelation would shock me, I thought it might be somewhat beneficial to state what we are most certain about. I’ll start:

I’m absolutely certain the zodiac was NOT Gaikowski, O’Hare, Kaczynski, Davis, Tarrance, Hodel, Perez’ father, Myers, or Ed Edwards, certain the man who shot Paul Stine was not ALA, that Zodiac was not responsible for Domingos/Edwards murders, that the man referred to as "Sandy" was Gary Gilmore.

What I’m 99% certain of is that Zodiac wrote the Bates’ letters and that Fouke saw the same guy the kids saw immediately after he shot Stine.

The are other possibilities that I’m pretty confident about but not altogether convinced of.

Have you read Ricardo’s report about Sandy ,on his site MK-Zodiac ? If not you should, he has done a lot of investigating ,you will find good information there.

What’s your rationale for this certainty, Joe?

This Guy’s name is Robert Coffman, and is close to the Sandy sketch. He went to college in the SF bay area, and he was same aprox age as ‘Sandy’. That being said, I am not accusing him of ANY crime, and have no reason to suspect him.

Thanks Morf, he looks somewhat like Sandy, except his eyes don’t have that bugged out look that Sandy’s did. Can you show us the Gilmore connection please ?

Never mind Morf, I was sent an email this morning ,showing me the name connection, it was a name his mother and father chose to use and gave to him as Faye Robert Coffman as they were using the name Coffman instead of Gilmore at that time.

From all of his arrests I saw ,he never used that name as an AKA on any of his arrest records. ( There was not any arrest shown in Calif.)
Depending on how long he was kept in prison for armed robbery in Oregon1962, it seems rather doubtful that he could be out in Calif. in 1963 .
