Articles and books re Zodiac have been ground out by everyone, including dogcatchers. Many, if not most of these productions are utter BS. It’s about time those with some familiarity with the subject matter should pool their resources and approach a publisher. Should an MS be published, three positive results will likely occur: Zodiac would be re-introduced to thel public; LE might be prodded to dust off their files and take another look-see; and funds would be realized that could be used for such as hiring a detective, researcher, et cetera.
What think ye, good folk?
What I would like to see is a definite Zodiac tome, which sums up the case in detail, covers the most widespread theories – critically, meaning tearing some of them thoroughly to pieces for the benefit of readers who aren’t familiar with the case – and does NOT promote any particular theory or suspect of its own.
The problem with such a work is – obviously – that it would be much harder to sell than a speculative piece of trash offering someone’s granddad up as the Zodiac.
I think this is a sound idea. What I believe would have to happen in order for it to come to fruition would be to take the top Zodiac amateur sleuths and combine their collective evidence and thoughts on Zodiac into a singular profile that makes use of any overlapping evidence of each sleuths POI. While they may not all have the same POI, there would be a heavy overlap of circumstantial evidence that could produce a singular suspect.
I think the problem is getting each one involved to the point of giving up all the information they may have. Part of the draw to this subject is that it is unsolved and everyone thinks they have the correct person, so you have to deal with ego’s throughout the process.
If it could be done, it would be a really interesting project and quite a fascinating book.
Great idea.
Personally I am not so into a particular POI, but more into the work of Z. There are so many POI’s out there that evidence is the only thing I really care to look at in this case.
A Philip Sugden approach to the case a la "The Complete History of Jack the Ripper" would be HUGELY beneficial.
"There are such devils."

Most of those Zodiac books are self-published, which is why we haven’t seen Horan on GOOD MORNING AMERICA.
Zodiac tome, what a great idea! And call it exactly that.
A blog /web page probably the better way to go . kind of like the one at Zodiac Killer Cipher 340 ( a sister site of this site?) and of course Zodiackiller.com and then there are the videos Cold case files, the Manix one , others
black and white pictures/ figures leave a lot to be desired.

That would be a fantastic idea. Something akin to Helter Skelter, where it lays out the facts of the case. It should also include a section that dispels the myths of the case and takes to task other "authors" who release sensationalist bullshit that is only made to bilk the populace out of it’s money.
Sounds pretty interesting.
Sort of like this, but in print form?

I always thought this is a case where a dedicated Zodiac wiki would come in handy.
I mean, if most popular TV shows have a wiki, why can’t Zodiac?
I have started a page ‘The Story of the Zodiac Killer’. At the moment I have incorporated only the murders. Of course at this present time it is only short and can be expanded indefinitely to incorporate the letters, suspects, families, investigators etc so somebody new to the case can read an unbiased account of the Zodiac Killer from start to finish. It can be made much longer and am prepared to expand it out to book length, although it will take ages, and with your assistance we can work together, my site and Zodiac Killer Site forum in partnership, as I have nothing but admiration for the people on this forum, anyway enough of the back slapping I’m about to cry.. However if you think this article so far is below the required standards it can be shelved. I will leave it up to you. You could also choose another title.

Let me add a maraschino cherry to my suggestion: include bios of active forum members to accompany their theories. By "bios" I do NOT mean proper names, addresses, and the like. I mean, what intrigued/motivated the member to devote time and energy to tracking down Z? If enough are interested, I will contact publishers; I can’t promise anything, but at least I can try. Responses, if any, would be forwarded to Morf and this forum.
Apparently, no one is interested. Offer withdrawn.
