Was listening to to the Yellow book on Audio this morning, and the Psychic stuff caught my attention. Joseph Delouise a well known psychic from Chicago got involved in the Z case and offered his insights and claimed that he was getting signals from Z, and came to SF to aide if he could, in capturing Zodiac.

Among other things, he saw the names ROTH & FIELD in relation to Z. He felt Z had a love of flowers, a strong hatred of cops, and had been in and out of mental institutions, and a possible connection to Berkeley. He also got the numbers 2-11 or 11-2, and thought these could relate to Zodiac’s birthday. I actually looked and didn’t find any Suspects with those birthdays, but I did find a Suspect from the redacted reports named John L. Oswald who DIED 2/11/91.

Not that I put a lot of stock in what Psychics have to say, but think it’s an interesting subject. I looked up this psychic, and he has a pretty extensive history of predictions. Graysmith noted that he correctly predicted a plane crash almost to the minute, the accident in water that Killed Ted Kennedy’s passenger, and the collapse of the Silver Bridge on the Ohio River.

Anybody have any thoughts about this topic??

Here is something I found on zodiackillertruth.com

"Dear Friends,

Yes I am still alive. I was young and fearless in those days of hoping to catch the Zodiac Killer. I remember the morning I was waiting to meet Under Sheriff Tom Johnson of Napa, I was having breakfast directly across from where I was to meet Sheriff Johnson. A man walked into the diner. He said hello and then rocked my world when he said "Are you Chris Harris?" I hesitated for a brief moment. Time seemed to slow down and the man behind the counter in the diner disappeared. The man who asked for my name said he knew I was after the Zodiac Killer. He then said "Do you have any idea what it must be like to awake each morning, knowing you have to outsmart the police and the press? He started to cry. Needless to say I was freaking out. He stared right through me. He suddenly moved closer to me. It was like one of those old Mafia films where the people in the restaurant disappear and the guns arrive and start shooting. I ask for the man’s name. He only gave me his first name as "Ben." He would not state his last name. When I ask a second time, he said "you really don’t need that." I wanted to run out the diner. The man who kept asking me if I wanted a second cup of coffee, did not appear. "Ben" ask why I was so interested in solving the Zodiac Killings. I said "I represent a documentary film company." Actually I represented Joseph DeLouise the psychic. I was afraid to state psychic. Ben soon corrected me, he stated your lying "you represent that psychic." I was now ready to run to the bathroom. Ben seemed irritated and was taking the whole matter involving the Zodiac, very personal. Ben stood up and gave me a very threatening look. At that moment I said "well I think I had better run." I sincerely meant RUN. Ben did not say goodbye, he turned and walked out the diner. I went directly to Sheriff Tom Johnson across the street. I told him about the incident and believed I may have met the Zodiac Killer. Johnson told me he was going to put an all points bulletin out. I actually don’t know if he ever did that. I was considered to be a major problem at that time. I was always asking questions. I was convinced early on that law enforcement had made many mistakes, mainly in the death of Darlene Ferrin. I still to this day stand by that charge. That charge being that in the ridiculous there are clues. Some individual with a web site declares I was wrong. I spent over a year involved with the Zodiac Killings. A cartoonist by the name of Robert Graysmith was always at my press conferences. In his book about the Zodiac he said people thought I was the Zodiac. They thought that because I was asking questions that the police were not asking and should have been asking. Graysmith did the best job he could do with his book. I know for a fact the late Joseph DeLouise gave Mr. Graysmith many of my notes and observations. What does it all mean? It means that law enforcement in Vallejo, Napa, and San Francisco did not share information. They were all overcome with ego to catch the Zodiac Killer and claim there victory. Perhaps if they had shared their data on a daily basis and left the press out of it, they might have reached a conclusion and apprehended the Zodiac Killer. Darlene Ferrin’s mother told me the story that Darlene told her and that was "you might read about me in the newspaper tomorrow," and she did. I still believe that Darlene’s death was a copycat murder made to appear as if it was Zodiac.

Respectfully,

Chris Harris

Psychics are very good at generating large amounts of bullshit. They get more credit than they deserve because every once in a while, they do get predictions right. If you make thousands of predictions, this is to be expected. Especially if predictions are general enough without seeming too general.

But, to be fair, I would want to see documented sources for Delouise’s predictions to see what details he predicted in advance. For instance, what is the primary source for the plane crash prediction? And what were the details given in the prediction?

Then, given a comprehensive list, we can work out how many he got right and how many he got wrong, and try to compare his performance to what you’d expect to happen by chance alone. There’s a good example study that was done on Sylvia Brown, which concludes: "Despite her repeated claim to be more than 85 percent correct, it seems that Browne has not even been mostly correct about a single case." (emphasis mine).

There was no "Zodiac" before Darlene’s death, so how could it be a copycat murder? Eh…

Psychics are the worst people to be allowed into any criminal case!!! absolute bullshit spinners. They can reek havoc on the case and its chances of getting the public to assist as they lead people in stupid directions. Modern police work is totally dismissive of such. Usually its the family who will grasp at anything in the hope of a resolution that listen to these Dr of bullshit, all out of sheer desperation.

I don’t buy into psychics. End of story. FWIW, Pt. Pleasant (where the silver bridge was located) is less than an hour drive away for me.

In 2004 he said that we would have a black president in 12 years. Well, we had one in 2012, so he was kind of right, right? haha
